Dr. Tamara Delport-Reynolds is born and raised in South Africa. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Genetics, in 2014, she relocated to Canada where she completed 4 years of a second Bachelor of Science in Animal Bioscience at the University of Saskatchewan. She then obtained her DVM at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2024. Exposure to complicated cases during vet school involving deep dives into research was by far her favourite clinical experience. After completing 1 year in small-animal general practice as an Associate Veterinarian, this passion was reaffirmed.
Dr. Delport-Reynolds, her husband, and their three cats, relocated to Ontario for a small animal rotating internship with the plan of pursuing a residency in Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests involve complex cases, research, procedural diagnostics, geriatric patient care and feline medicine. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 3 cats, painting, gardening and travelling back home to visit family.
