Professional Experience:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Calgary (DVM)
Dr. Natalie Tsao was born and raised in Ottawa. She completed her undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of Guelph, followed by a Master of Science in Muscle Physiology at the University of Calgary. In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Calgary and is currently completing a Rotating Medicine and Surgery Internship at our hospital.

Her professional interests include surgery, community medicine, and research across a range of veterinary topics. She has gained valuable hands-on experience working at a wildlife sanctuary in Alberta and participating in community medicine initiatives in the Northwest Territories.

Outside of work, she enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, camping, reading, and skiing or snowboarding in the winter. She shares many of these adventures with her rescue dog Leila.
